Female Betta Popping Bubblenest

So I'm new here working with Bettas. I've had the male in the 10 gallon for a while. A couple of days ago I bought a female and set her in a jar in the middle of the tank. I woke up to the male making and just finishing a bubble nest.

When I released the female this morning, she went directly towards the bubble nest and destroyed it. Is that a sign that this female doesn't want to spawn? Or is it just the personality of the fish to destroy it? Are they not a pair after all?

You may get a better answer to your questing with posting it on the betta side of the forum. I know there are quite a few people over there that breed their bettas and will be better informed.
