Eggs?! But from who...

Hi! The day before yesterday I found eggs on the side of my tank. The problem is I have like 6 different kinds of critters living in there! I was wondering if anyone could help me narrow down the possible suspects? I have tetras, corycats, a pictus catfish, a loach, newts, ghost shrimp and 2 what walmart tells me are perscale oranda.

So which of these creatures lays eggs on the side of the tank? They are small round and kinda clearish. The perscale seem especially interested in the thing I made and put over top of them to protect them from being eaten. Can separating fish from there eggs make them sad?

Cories. Your pearlscales are interested because they are about to get their free egg meals. Separate the eggs.

Ah I see. xD

I kinda figured it was one or the other. xDD

They are separated... but should I completely remove them from the tank though?

You don't happen to have a guide or something about raising da babies do you? xP

See I made this ting out of a Tupperware container. I cut the one side off so if it's put on the side of the tank up high enough it protects them from the other fishies but I could still get into it to put in food. Then I secured it with a piece of fish net stocking and some suction cups. Will that work?

If they turn white you know they are unfertilized and you can dispose of them. They should turn white within a few days of being laid if that is the case.

Okeys I may get a pin out and try to pick off all the white ones. Can I give them to my fish/other critters in the rest of the tank to eat?

You could, but I would dispose of them if I were you because they can carry fungus.
