Hey guys, I just got a eheim 2217 classic filter, and lo and behold I noticed a few batches of cory cat eggs. I just lost 1 cory cat to the intake tube *which is now covered, as it happened JUST as I found a matching strainer >_<* I am a little worried as even with the intake strainer cover, the flow is still strong and I have attempted to do my best to cover up most of the strainer with some java moss to help prevent anything else from getting sucked up into it. I am really worried for the cory cat fry, and was wondering what else can I do to help prevent them from getting sucked up into the filter? Thanks!

If you end up with fry, they will likely end up in the filter.
One possible solution would be to use a large filter sponge over the Eheim intake. You can purchase large filter-material sponges that you can customize. The main problem there is you really do not want to let the sponge clog up and restrict your Eheim's water flow.
