Cichlid pair spawned

My pair of centrarchus have spawned for me and are at this point guarding free swimmers. i will get another video of that later. Here is a video of when they were guarding eggs.


This is their spawning coloration. They typically look like this

That color change is incredible! The eggs were in the sand? What color are the eggs?

eggs are gold. They were attached to the rock in the cave so it was hard to see.

Here are the free swimming babies. You can see mom and dad are struggling to keep them in the cave.

Thank you I am very proud. These guys re super common so it was nice to get a spawn from them. They are great parents as well.
