I just bought a 1.5 gallon tetra cube aquarium. At the moment I have my guppy babies in there. (I used the water from the big tank along with gravel and plants from the main aquarium as well). I would like to use it to breed brine shrimp. Is there anything I need to do or have special? Everything I have read is just put them in a tank and they will just multiply on there own.
Can I breed daphnia along with them and how do I do that?
unfortunatly daphnia are a fresh water crustacean and wont be compatible in the same enviroment as the shrimp..daphnia consume water born bacteria and algaes..they can reproduce up to five times in a day in optimal conditions..a cooler temp should be kept not exceeding high 70s...i find daphnia easier to keep...but both have ther worth in fish foods..
