Hi I have a 46 gallon tank with 1 CAE, 1 SAE, 1 rainbow shark, 5 neon tetras, 3 rosy barbs, 2 kissing gourami, and 3 pineapple swordtails. I got the swordtails yesterday and made sure 1 was a male and 2 were females. How do I breed them?? Do I have to wait a long time??
not really too long, one of the two females might already be pregnant, and they give birth every 27-34 days in my experience. then the females can also store sperm for 2-3 more broods. Just add some salt and put the temp at about 78-80, and just give it time, that simple, The parents didnt eat the fry but in some cases do, so in your 47 G you shouldnt have any problem... hope this helps!! anymore questions just ask!!!!
