It will work but you will need to get rid of your other fish as they will attack and may eventually kill your fish. It's best to provide more plants and rocks. Elodea plants are good as they can grow fast.
You can add dither fish to ensure that the kribs are doing their job in caring the fry. Danios are the best choice as they can swim very fast.
