Question Betta Types

I have a male twin tail betta and would like to breed him, but assuming the only type of female I could get is just your average veil tail from the pet store, would I just end up with some funky tail type, or would it be 50/50 split of the two?

I really want to breed bettas, but don't want to end up with a bunch of unsellable/deformed bettas.

Thx, Cass :)

You would have better luck posting on bettafish.com/tfk's betta section.

If you bred a doubletail (dt) to a veiltail (vt) without the dt genotype you will get veiltails, and some of them will have extended dorsals. It's really worth buying high quality stock from breeders rather than breeding more veiltails that you won't be able to sell.

Go to Aquabid and approach the breeders. They will help you out without breaking the bank. I'm going to breed some bettas again, like I have said that at least 20 times over the last 30 years and managed to do so each time. P.M. me if you need an assist.
