Bad pimp?

I have a nice gold veiltail female angelfish that I currently have with a big strong gold male. They lay eggs pretty regular, but always eat eggs in 24 hours..while I'm at work.Pulled a batch and they proved healthy and hatched to lively young. Would be great to train to parentraise, but oh well. My question is this, though..before I matched the golds up, she had chosen a black male who she laid eggs with a dozen times. These eggs were almost impossible to get anywhere with..I thought maybe the male was messed up? If I try to get them back together is she going to be able to figure out what is going on? Would she likely respond okay, since she changed once before?ll

Not sure I understand what you're saying. Do you mean put the gold female back together with the male she had previously chosen and see if the eggs are viable this time?

Yes, exactly that Sakura.. put her back with the male she originally accepted and laid eggs with. Although, these new golds are so simple to raise..(have 100 in a three and a half gallon tank eating bb. now) I have a black male (actually two, maybe three) I want to pair with a little black female that is so mean (the female and the males really) maybe the forsaken black could tame her. That is the direction I'm leaning towards,, Possibly try to produce platinums out of gold pair?

I wish I knew more about breeding angelfish. I can't really offer any advice except if the gold accepted the male once, she may do so again and with luck the eggs will be viable. I'm not sure how it is with angelfish but I know many of the betta breeders have difficulty getting blacks to successfully spawn. In those cases, it seems to be aggression and the males eating the eggs.

It really sounds like you know what you're doing so there's not a whole lot I can offer except my best wishes that everything goes well. I hope to see pics soon! :)
