My avatar on this forum is a male wild type endlers livebearer. On other forums, where I go by Oldman, it is often a Brachyrhaphis roseni.

yess guppies are livebreaders and you can tell my the anal fin if its coned its a male if its broad and flat its a female also the femalt will have a gravid spot near the end of her belly (it looks like a black spot from belly to almost her back)

And in fancy guppies, males tend to be the ones with the big "fancy" tail.

A male and female of any of the poeciliid fish, including guppies can be distinguished by the anal fin shape. These are not guppies but the anal fin differences are the same.
This is a male

His gonopodium is clearly visible below his body.

This is a female of the same species

Her triangular shaped anal fin is also obvious below her body right near where she eliminates her waste.
