ok i was doing a water change last night when i saw a ltiile baby cory sitting there watching me. my cories laid eggs a few days ago. he is in a breeder unit, without anyone else,in other words,he is the only fish i can find. is there anything i need to do right now ?
or should i just leave him in there and feed him catfish pellets broken into little pieces?

What other fish do you have in there? I'd simply provide more plants for the fry to hide. Your cories will continue to spawn. Congratulations.:)

more plants in the net hes in?
there are 3 guppies,a platy,4 neons,and 2 proud cory parents.
Nope. Tank. Your cory fry will actually have a good chance of survival considering most of the fish you have do not dominate the bottom therefore giving the fry an advantage to hide among woods, rocks and plants planted on the substrate. Javan moss, fine-leaved plants and foreground plants will give you an advantage.

thank you very much. im actually going to set up a cory breeding tank. i think itll be hard to replicath the conditions i have them in right now,but ill try. my platy got all evil at the babies, and almost ate one. i have them in a breeder unit right now,and they seem to be doing very well. im afraid to let them live in my tank because of the platy :( i will move the fry once i get another tank set up. for the other tank i will use water from my 29 gallon so i can just let it sit for like a week.

I think that keeping them in the breeder a bit longer is a lesser evil than putting them into a tank after only a week. I know you are using water form the 29g but most of the bacteria will live in the filter. Run the new filter in the old tank for a few weeks forst as well and cycle it properly is my advise.

After a few weeks the babies will not be so sensitive to change sin parameters. By this I mean Ph and temp, so long as there's no great difference. I don't mean amonia and nitrite and nitrate as the babies will still be extremely sensitive to this at that age.

alright. i see we are unclear, i keep 2 filters running in my 29, 1 is for the quarintine tank. i will use this filter for the breeding tank. as for the quarintine tank, i will buy a cheap filter. my guppies, and platy, have figured that if they follow the adult cories around, they will find something to eat,so im a bit afraid to put them in the actuall tank. its not possible that my emeralds could have had peppered cories is it?
