When do I start feeding the fry? I've read that its a few days after the are free swimming. Anything more specific to watch for?

I tried to take a picture, and its not happening with my cameraphone. I'll have to find the cable for the camera.
You might keep an eye on the yoke sacks and start feeding when you notice that they are gone from some of the fry. What are you planning on feeding ? If baby brine shrimp, I'd get the hatchery going now. Good luck !

They're swimming! The adults are keeping super busy trying to pick up all of the wanderers and bring them back to the anubias plants. And they seem to be eating!

Its been a week since they started free swimming, the parents are starting to allow the fry a little bit of free range (not keeping them herded tightly together). Numbers have decreased considerably, seems to be happening at night actually. I suspect our bristlenose pleco. I'll be taking the pleco out once the fry are big enough that I won't stress anyone out during the chase. There are still probably 20-30 fry swimming around though, getting bigger by the day (and more opaque). They eat their frozen baby brine shrimp vigorously, even going after the flake food I feed the parents. So far so good!

Could it be the filter taking the fry ? Maybe try using just the sponge for a while.

The canister filter has been turned off since the fry started swimming. Just the sponge for now.
