Angelfish breeding need help!

Hi i am new to this website. I am trying to breed angelfish with no luck. I have a pair in their own 33gal tank. They have been a pair for a few months. Well they been thru the breeding process about 4 times and the male keeps eating the eggs. The male would eat the eggs as soon as the female starts laying them.
They were first in a community tank and thats when i notice them laying eggs first. I thought that was the issue.then i move them to their own tank.
Any one have any idea on what i should do? I have six angel fish total.
Any advice would be great

I have read that it is fairly common for it to take several spawns before Angel parents get it right. It was best to move them to their own tank as this removes the community threat and parents defending the eggs.
Unfortunately, I don't have any other information that might prevent your male from eating the eggs. You'll just have to see if he gets it right.

Mine seem to have a problem when the wigglers are about to become swimmers as they kept redepositing them on the (plastic) leaf where they were laid...unfortunately, not all of the wigglers made it back and the process disturbs others that were barely hanging on.
I rescued some from the first spawn, but sadly all were lost from the second spawn.

I've never bred them but I keep some. Maybe you should put a good number of nice sized amazon swords in with them. They may do better with the eggs with those. How is their tank set up.. the breeding pair?

What are you feeding the pair & how often? How much activity is around the tank the pair is in? These things can affect how angels care, or don't care for a spawn. You can also try adding some micro foods to the pair's tank, bbs is a traditional favorite. While the adults won't eat the food they will see that it's available for fry, and perhaps the male will get the idea that parenthood is a good idea at this time.

Curious tolak, is daphnia a good angel fry food?

Most are too big, at least until they hit a couple weeks old. Last weekend I was helping a friend move a 250 gallon tub, guy's place we brought it to cultures daphnia outdoors in drums. He had one strain, or species that was incredibly small, maybe double the size of bbs. He's the kind of guy that rattles off Latin names like I rattle off pizza ingredients, I could ask him what species they are.

He sounds like my dad
The ones I feed are super small but then again never seen angel fry. I know their mouths tend to be small so I guess it's tricky taking care of the fry. If I ever get the time to breed I'm going to breed a black and a koi! Those would be some amazing babies

These are day old fry, thermometer is an inch across; http://imageshack.us/a/img239/3843/p...1dayold3jo.jpg

Depending on the genetics of the koi & black there's a variety of what you may end up with. There's several genetic calculators available, the real proof is in the spawn.

Best bet is keeping an eye on the WYSIWYG page at Angels Plus; WYSIWYG Tropical Fish

Buddy of mine has some high coverage koi super veils growing out, should be pairing soon. While the location of the black is particular to the individual with koi there's often some with a lot of black on the tail.
