i just noticed my ammano shrimp has eggs ive never had anything breed in my tank so i was wondering how long it takes before they hatch and should i take my frogs out and will any other fish eat the baby shrimp?
If it is truly an amano shrimp, the eggs actually must hatch out in salt water to survive. You can google it on the internet, but from what I understand you put the mother in another tank, once she lays the eggs you add salt to the water, and then once the baby shrimp start to grow up you slowly acclimate them to freshwater. I'm jealous, I've been keeping an eye on my amano shrimp but none of them have eggs, Good luck!
after i saw the eggs (they looked like little white balls) i came up and posted this but i havent seen the eggs since. im pretty sure it is an amano but its just the common alae eating shrimp ive had them around 6 months and i only have 2 so i guess i got pretty lucky
