Talking After Angelfish pair off how long till they spawn?

My angelfish paired off in my 75 gallon tank so I gave them their own tank being a planted 30 gallon with slate in there for them to lay there eggs on, I noticed the tummy will bloat but then goes back down its probly just the bloodworms I feed them? Will they spawn if they have paired off there papila's have come out like ' that much... Not to sure what im looking for here or how long it will take they been paired off in the 75 for atleast 5 days.

if you need me to post pictures just ask, thank you !

I can't say as I've never had Angelfish. Plenty of others here have them so someone should come along shortly and educate both of us! I know with my discus I see them pecking at a spot together and soon after they will spawn in the area they were "pecking" at. I see this pecking happening right before I see their breeding tubes coming down.

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

Angels are very similar to what Kymmie described with her Discus behavior. You will see them pecking at a spot. They are cleanin gthe area to lay their eggs on. They could lay them just about anywhere. On your slate, a plant leaf, or even the wall of the aquarium. If they are young, they may not lay eggs right away or if they do, they will likely eat the first few spawns. This is quite normal in juvenile angelfish.

I see one of them more like rubbing his body against the corner of the glass up and down , could it be months before they start picking and stuff or is it usally a few weeks after they pair up?
