Underwater Photography

Hey,

I'm a fairly avid diver (saltwater), and am considering getting into underwater photography. I'm pretty much just looking for any advice anybody can give me on equiptment. I have take photography classes in the past, but I am new to underwater photography. Any idea of a good beginners camera? I'd like something versatile since I dive everything from 15 feet deep to 200 feet deep. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Waterproof cases for DSLRs (For example, D90s and EOSs) usually cost TWO TO THREE times the amount for the camera itself (And sometimes 5-10 times). If you aren't serious about underwater photography, you should just buy a camera that already is waterproofed. However, they usually focus mainly on staying waterproof, so the quality of the pictures are usually not too good (think 4-5 megapixels). So it's a serious trade-off between quality and price.
