I have a few Zebrafish in a tank. It's five gallons with gravel at the bottom, one live fern, one fake plant, and two other decorations. Now that's what I'm worried about. Should I remove any of these? I'm just wondering if the fish feel crowded or want more swimming space, you know? Buying a larger tank is out of the question. All I'm asking about is whether I should remove some of the decorations.
By zebrafish, are we correct to assume it is the Zebra Danio? Click the shaded name to see our profile with photos.
If it is, then it is very crowded in a 5g tank. But as a larger tank you say is not possible, there isn't much you can do. In this situation, I would leave the decor in the tank; a bare small tank will be even more discomforting to this fish.
