Zebra Danio + Longfin Zebra Danio?

Hey everyone, I have 7 Zebra Danio that are currently helping to cycle my tank. Eventually I want a school of 11 Zebra Danio but I like the longfins looks better for the aquarium.

My question is, will Longfin and normal Zebra Danio school together? Or would they just form their own clicks?

I'm pretty sure they will school together as the long fin danio is just a different strain of the regular danio. I have also seen zebra and leopard danis schooling together so see no problem here.

You have to realize leopard danios are simply sub-species of the zebra danios. They never existed in the wild at all.

they are not a sub-species they are, like the long finned versions, man made morphs. it is all in the scientific names
Danio rerio = Zebra Danio
Danio 'frankei' rerio = leopard danio
the 'frankei' refers to the guy that created the morph.

they only problem I've encountered in keeping any danio with their longfined counterparts is the normal danios tend to nip the longfins.
