What to feed my danios and betta while on vacation....

I'll be gone for 10 days and I know that can't go without food for that long. I've seen those feeding blocks that dissolve over a period of 7 days. Does anyone have a better idea or a way that's preferred? BTW, the danios are in a separate tank from my betta.
Thanks
Lori

go to mcdonalds and get a bunch of ketchup cups.

fill each cup with usual food fed for each day.
or
add just alittle bit more to them for an every other day feeding.

mark each cup with date to be fed on.

hide the rest of the food ( to avoid temptations )

have a trusted friend or neighbor stop by to pour the designated cup into the tank.
or
invest in an automatic feeder.

My betta did fine with a dissolving calcium feeder. I didn't try one with my danios yet. Just test out whatever you decide before you leave to make sure they accept it. I did try a gel feeder in my tank once (not the betta tank) and the barbs picked at it in the beginning but then ignored it.
