weird zebra danio behavior?

my zebra danio i cant tell if it is male and female found a little cave in the driftwood. everytime an other danio comes near it chases them away. even the dominate danio is not so dominate anymore. is this normal behavior? (looks like shes guarding the cave

Maybe an overly possessive female?
One of the females in my 10 gallon seems to run the show.
Maybe it's a female.
