| || | Do you have pictures of your loach? I have doubts on that. What size is the fish? I have 18 Botia almorhae along with several other loaches, synos, severums, etc and never noticed any aggression. Just as a note, loaches are sociable fish which means they should be kept in a minimum number of three. They should not be deprived of their companions otherwise they do tend to wreak havoc in the community though this does not mean every individual fish will be like that if deprived of what they really want. Each fish has its own personality. Now on your subject, what size is the tank? If you wish to keep three, a 40g would be the absolute minimum for plenty of space otherwise choose even smaller loaches such as the Pangios.
There are other fish far worse than the Botia almorhae. Yasuhikotakia morleti, Yasuhikotakia modesta, Yasuhikotakia eos and all loaches of Syncrossus genus to name a few are very aggressive fish and regardless of their number, they do not make suitable community fish having the ability to rip through the community and harassing the tankmates to death.
Again, I truly doubt a yoyo loach would ever do such disaster but there is no knowing unless you can show us some pictures of the fish. I have never heard of a yoyo loach capable of that much disaster though again, each fish has a personality different and unique from the others.
