I'm not sure about the Boseman's tho and would love to hear more too. Should the Boseman's be in groups too? I think the LK RBF are supposed to be in larger groups like 7-8, but it takes time to build up the numbers, they are not cheap where I live.
How big is the tank? and who else is in there?
Well I'm feeling guilty eve thinking about buying a Bos Rainbow, because most (but not all) information does call for a large tank (over 48"). I just saw baby Bosemans' at Petco for $7.99 each which is a good price, and I tell myself I can give them a better home than where they will probably end up from Petco, who had no information about them, and will likely sell them to someone who has a 10 gal.
My tank is 43 gal, and is 36" long and 14 deep, but it's really well planted. I was thinking of just getting one, and hoping he'd just think he's a dwarf rainbow and hang with my 5 dwarfs and never know the difference
They actually look a lot like dwarfs right now but I can see the small difference when you look closely. So, is it silly to think if I got a baby and raised him with the dwarfs he'd never know and be happy?
I'm so not sure what to do, but I don't think they'll be there long at that price - but than again, lots of people over look them when they are young, because they aren't so colorful
I have 5 danios in the tank too, and 2 ghost shrimp -
