Tinfoil and plants

I have a fifty gallon aquariam that i want to turn into a planted tank. the problem is that my tinfoils love the taste of live plants, so my question is are there any plants that i can put in tank that won't get eaten? are there any fish free plants?

Plants like Anubias may survive, as they are thick-leaf and stem plants. Also Java Fern, I don't recall every reading of any fish that will eat this. Both are in our profiles, click the shaded names.

I might try a sword, such as the common Amazon sword (Echinodorus bleherae), but this is just guessing. My loaches pick little holes in this plant.

The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian. [unknown source]

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
