My 55 gal tank just cycled....well, and i'm battleing some disease issues, but once that is all over I want to get some more fish.
I have 12 tiger barbs and 3 black skirt tetras and fake plants. The ph is a little on the high side 7.5-8 (i haven't treated it with ph down yet, but will soon) plus it is hard water.
I want to add some color and was very interested in the more colorful fish that are of more unusual shapes than the barbs and tetras.
Upon researching it seems that everything that is colorful and peaceful will be attacked by the barbs, conversely everything that is colorful and can hold it's own, will end up eating my barbs!
So basicly I have a tank full of fish that I can't realy pair anything with.
I can switch water to reverse osmosis water from my local pet store if needed.
I realy don't want a tank full of borring normal fish shaped fish that are all silverish or colored and tiny. A few somethings medium sized and colorful would be nice. If someone gets eaten in a year or two, maybe it was ment to be
