Siamese Doll and Calico Oranda

Just wanted to share Cash, my Siamese doll has filled out a lot and gained another inch in just a month stay with me. I was wrong to guess her gender.lol Yep, Cash is a lady. Just waiting for the male doll to arrive at my door.

Pic taken the day I bought her. Red streaks on the fins show she was weakened a bit but was the healthiest I could find.

More recent shots. I took them posthaste so I didn't bother cleaning up the diatoms quickly. She fattened a bit since I bought her.

My calico oranda, Donna in quarantine. She moved to main tank last night after 4 weeks of isolation. She quickly acclimated in my main tank. I seem to have great luck getting my goldies to acclimate fast in their new homes.

And for my rant, I am getting impatient with my shipping transaction of blue orandas and some calico telescopes. My Siamese doll and possibly another two orandas haven't arrived yet.

Oh well...There's enough time I guess before I renovate my pond which will house at least 20 more orandas and some telescopes.

Wow Lupin, the fish just keep rolling in! hehe. Your calico oranda is cute!

As for me, I've stopped adding fish to my pond. I think 11 goldfish is enough and they don't look so crowded while swimming around nor does the pond look empty. My latest addition was a large black and orange comet. When I took him out of quarantine drum the black had faded a bit and the color wasn't looking too good despite being healthy and active. One day in the pond and the color becomes way way better. I guess he enjoys the new surroundings very much.

I'm currently working on two new planted tanks. One for fish and one for shrimp. hehe.

Your fish love watching you as much as you love watching them. So please practice responsible fishkeeping.

25, Kymmie. I just added my 3 blue orandas. I have one unused pond but the two old ponds will eventually be replaced with a large new one at 500 gallons. I'm hoping it could house 20 orandas.

And 2-3 more goldfish still waiting after a month including my male Siamese doll. They weren't shipped yet. I canceled another shipping transaction because I found the blue orandas finally after looking for them everywhere in the last 3 months so I am chuffed I found some finally. *dances happily*
