Exclamation Rosy Barbs, fighting or playing?

I bought a couple of barbs today and put them in my 24g.
After an hour or so they started circling around eachother nipping at eachother's tails.
Is this serious or just playing?

Its fighting. Barbs should be kept in a larger groups to minimize that.

Agree. You can find more info on this and other species in our fish profiles, second tab from the left in the blue bar across the top, or click on the shaded name of fish in posts, example: Rosy Barb.
