I would say get more of them to increase the school size and cut down on aggression, but a 16 gallon tank is somewhat small for a decent-sized school of rosy barbs.

If they were simply pecking for dominance with no serious damage done, it will naturally happen. It happens a lot when the males have rivalry something fierce.

ive got some barbs myself and trust me fights are somthing you will get used to but as long as non of the fish get hurt its generaly not anything to worry about they will just form a pecking and order and settle down evemtualy and if they dont try removing the main antagonist (if you can tell him apart from the rest ) for about an hour then put him back in the tank thats what i did and ive never had any trouble since 8)
