They're very lovely and I can see why you want to breed them, but I read that there is no record of how to breed them in captivity. So, unless there is someone on this forum who has lots of experience with them, you may be out of luck.

I haven't actually heard from someone yet about breeding this fish. These fish came back to the hobby with rising popularity in 2005. Their rare availability has been brought from the declining populations leading to the restricted importations apparently.
i have a pair of these too, i did a little research and apparently, there is no record of breeding them in captivity and also no way of telling their gender
