roseline danios??

ok, i just bought two fish, that my LFS had labeled 'golden roseline danio'. they are the same size, and just a little bigger than zebra danios. i can't really find any information on them. are they really danios? its not a common type of danio that i have read about.

no, definately not Puntius denisonii- no dots on tail, a little smaller and slightly heavier bodied. there is no solid black line in the middle- but there is a red smudge mark near their bottom half. they are really quite stunning to look at. i bought 2 and they try to school with my zebra danios. they are really fast movers- and i was told they could get a little nippy with eachother, but so far mine haven't. should i try to snap a picture? ( if they would sit still!)

I think I have an odd feeling this could be Danio roseus, Mia?

it definately has characteristics of that fish- that looks more like mine. but mine is not entirely red, its half red, and half silver-ish, with a golden line dividing the two colors. but the body and size / shape look like the rose danio....it looks almost like a hybrid of a pearl and rose danio. i will try to get my photographer friend to snap a picture this week, cause they are sooo pretty. my friend has a high speed camera, so he might be able to capture them while swimming around.
:)

they like them- its been a few weeks now, and everyone is fine with eachother. they don't really school together tightly, but they hang out in the same area. the roseline danios are just a little larger then the zebras, and a little tiny bit aggressive but they can all still be friends

two that spring to mind are
Danio rosesus http://www.danios.info/fish/roseus.aspx
and danio blue red stripe http://www.danios.info/fish/blueredstripe.aspx
which may, or may not, turn out to be a natural colour morph of D.albolineatus
