Red Ryukin Goldfish Has Large Lump On Side

I have had my ryukin goldfish (3") Thomas for 7 months now. He has survived so many things, ick, dropsy, fin rot, etc. But now he has a large lump on his side. He seems perfectly fine, swimming, eating and it's not getting any larger, it might even be getting smaller. I just want to clarify what this lump is. I read it could be a tumor, bacterial infection or a fish pimple (???).
Tank Size: 56 gal.
Last Water Change: 5 days ago (10 percent)
Other Inhabitants: Newton (4") calico Ryukin goldfish (quite healthy, has never contracted a disease) and Gary (mystery snail - 1.5")
Filtration: 400 gph Aqueon quiet filter (which isn't really quiet)
Ammonia: 0
PH: 7.5
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 10-20
Tank is planted.

Can you get a photo of it? A lump can present many ways and we really need to see it. Are you planning on upping your filtration? You have just over 3x and goldies need 8-10x, the latter being best.

A picture would help! It could be lymphocystis, which while ugly isn't too bad of a condition and shouldn't affect his quality of life..
Yes, they are beautiful but those fancies can give their owners quite the runaround with their diseases.

taking a break from fish-keeping.
3 lovely male betta still keep me company.
