Rainbow fish sick?! Odd coloration.....

Need some help! I have a male and female Rainbow fish. We have had them for about 2 months. ALL has been fine until the other day. She used to be nice shiny silver, but we woke up the other day and she now has some pale silver on the bottom and the top 1/2 of her is like a bronzeish color. I have no other fish in the tank that show any sign of ill effects! The rainbow still swims around as nothing is wrong with her but her colors just aren't what they once were.....Anyone know of anything?

Sounds right to me.......the mating. The older bows get, the more colors they display. You should see the Lake Kutubu (turquoise) bows. They flash different colors on their heads and their bodies will turn from turquoise to green. This photo is taken from the internet but mine do this during mating and stress.
