Looking to finish up my 55G tank. At the m/oment I have 6 mixed rainbows, a RTBS, and a couple of cories. I wanted to finish it with a school of black neons or some rummy nose, but the LFS advised against it saying the rainbows would pester the smaller fish relentlessly. Any suggestions or should I just leave it as is?
You're talking Boseman's Rainbow's right? I had mine with Zebra Danio's and Bronze Cory's that was a nice hassle free mix. You can see their pictures and tank set up if you look to the left under my name here at the tap called Aquarium; they're listed with pictures under "55g Rainbows"
Yea, I have 1 Boseman, 1 Turquoise, and 4 Ornate. That's what the lfs had them labled as anyway. I want to add another Boseman or 2, and possibly another Turqouise.
I hadn't considered Zebras, bur I'll definitely check them out. Thanks for the suggestion.
With them (and their behavior) you'd def need something active but NOT aggressive in the tank. White Clouds would be another option; but I had pers found the Zebra's better choice as they grow a lil larger.
