Purple Passion Danios

A really small LFS has a huge herd of these things. They look really great and are slightly larger than a standard zebra danio (although nowhere near the size of a giant danio).

Anyone ever heard of/kept these fish? Would a school of 8 or so be fine in a 29g?

there are two species of danio that are commonly referred to as purple passion danios
1st is pearl danio Danio albolineatus
2nd is Danio roseus (no common name)
although knowing how the trade works it is also possible that
the recently discovered Danio Sp. 'blue red stripe' could be named purple passion danios to aid in their sale
