All botiine loaches do make clicking sounds. I hope you didn't combine your skunk loaches with your other more docile fish. These are NOT community fish. They are absolutely one of the worst loaches for a community setup with temperament scaling 5 of 5 matching the tiger loaches and Yasuhikotakia modesta. If you already did, get rid of them before you start losing your other fish to them. The only fish I was able to keep them successfully with were the tiger loaches, modestas, arulius barbs and tiger barbs. Anything else gets harassed to death. A few of my yoyos were decapitated by these punks and clowns were harassed to the point they started shying away as a result before I had to remove the skunks.

I just went and read the profile for this loach we have on our site. I love loaches but this is one I would never keep, they just sound too nasty. Which, Lupin's experience can attest.

I sure hope they are correctly labelled at the store and purchasers are advised and cautioned not to mix these into their tanks as a community fish. That would not be right!

I just viewed your pics and it looks like you have your tank haning off one side. your tank will break if its not fully on the stand.

Oh that's good fryup, thank you for telling me that. It's just some places don't ask what you have already, or the size of your tank even.
