Are you doing a biotope for them? I was just thinking how well some Garras would do in a tank with hillies as they are both subtropical river creatures. I'm sure you already know that, but it's my two cents. Plus, I love my Garra Flavatra, even though he freaks me out when he sucks on my arm. (I swear, my water changes would take half the time if I didn't constantly have to chase him off.
Okiemavis, I already did a river setup for my hillies already.;) Three of my tanks are river setups. Cories are their tankmates who are actually more than happy (and oddly) enough to swim around the currents.

You could try mixing the hillies and Garra flavatra. This reminds me. I still have not obtained the Garras although I will try but I need to get the Yasuhikotakia modesta first for my Grrr tank.

Guess I'll have to stick with just my leconte, dario and histeronica tribes and leave it at that.
How many modesta do you have now, anyway?

Dave
Hi Dave!

I have 3 at the moment because I wanted the Syncrossus helodes first. I can already hear loud clicking sounds when I see them clashing with each other around and even during feeding time.

A long time update but no pics yet due to my computer down and I still haven't borrowed my sister's camera. She can be so overprotective about it.

Anyway, all loaches are doing well in my Grrr tank. They're spoiled with shrimps, commercial foods and plenty others.;) I'm looking forward to adding Garra taeniata with them if I can find a small group. As for my Garra flavatra, they're with the clowns and yoyos. One yoyo appears gravid again. Last time was last year but there is really no chance for them to spawn successfully without a long tank to wash away the eggs from their territory to avoid cannibalism.
