Aunt Kimmie, these are for you. These are some of the oldest photos I found:
This is in 2001, in a 29 US gallons(about 109 liters) aquarium. That's Little Loach at top, and Big Loach at bottom. For some sense of scale, that is Java Fern Windelov they are in. The green thing to the left is an Eheim Ecco filter intake strainer with standard airline tubing for CO2 going into it
Here is another photo of that entire aquarium. In this one, there are some other fish to give a better size comparison. There is a Ram Cichlid( Mikrogeophagus ramirezi
) near the loaches. There are also some platies/moonfish(Xiphophorus Maculatus or variatus)
to the right, and several otocinclus to the left.
I know there are a few older ones floating around somewhere, but they were analog, and would take rather a lot of work to find. These are from my first digital camera(1 entire megapixel!).
I had already had these guys for a couple of years at this point, and they'd survived one move to a different city. Wish I had a photo of the day I got them. They were so little!
