make sure you dont keep it with another one of the same species or fish with similar colouring as it will end up fighting to the death.my one sometimes has certain days were it will become alot more aggressive then the next day it will have calmed down.what are its tank mates?
loverly looking fish with a big nasty attitude a nasty attitude.
they become very aggressive at around 6" and have the potential to reach 2ft. an adult black shark will need a tank with a footprint of at least 5ft x 3ft.
they are best kept with other large aggressive fish, such as bass, climbing perch and large catfish like devils or common plecos
this fish is most definatly not suitable for comunity tanks.

im doin ok then, he is about 6" just found out very aggressive when foods on the go!
i keep him with all my plecs, baby blue lobsters and my nasty clarias catfish!
you choice of tankmates sounds ideal
although I'd watch the lobster with the clarius,
given a chance the clarius would swallow him whole
I'd love to see some pic of the clarius
