Question Hi, New here, question on tetras

Hi everyone, am new here. For a brief intro, I'm from Malaysia, was in the FW hobby some time ago, then to marine and now back into FW.

My plan is to setup my 2feet tank (54litres) with mostly tetras in them, bought 10 glowlight tetras and are doing well.

I do have some questions on tetras, hope I'm not in the wrong room/section to post about tetras. I was thinking of adding a power head to my tank as i am only using a hang on filter (limited water flow). But do tetras enjoy being in an area with mid-high flow?

Am also interested in getting Rainbow Furcata, any advice/comment about them?

Thank in advance.

Hi Fabby10, welcome to the forum!
I've read tetras don't like heavy current and I assume that's what a powerhead would give you. I keep tetras and have used a homemade type baffle to reduce the flow in the tank. Someone with more experience will have to comment. Sorry but I know nothing about Rainbow Furcatas but plenty of people here do.
Once again, welcome to the forum, glad you decided to join us!

Historically tetras come from slow flowing amazonian rivers and similar areas. My tetras tend to avoid the outflow of the filter like the plague.
