Question Harlequin rasbora loss of colour!!

Hi people.. I recently got a 40L tank (I believe thats around 13G), in my tank I have 8 fish which are 4 Zebra Danios and 4 harlequin Rasboras. The only problem is coming from one harlequin rasbora, and that's that he has orange at the front of him and has the black stripe, but doesn't have orange at the back of him. He is practically crystal clear!!! I have had the tank for 6 days and had the fish for 3... An help would be appreciated

EDIT--- great news!! I turned off the light that beams light ha. And after the night he had regained his full colour!

This is a pertinent observation. Forest fish do not appreciate strong lighting since they occur in quite dimly-lit waters. This is where floating plants help so much, diffusing the overhead light so it can still be sufficient for lower plants and illuminating the aquarium but the impact is lessened for the fish.

Stress of any sort usually results in loss of colour in fish.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If youíre going to take it under your wing then youíre responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
