Goldfish ph RANGE?
What would the optimal as well as the highest tolerant ph for red-cap orandas ? Thanks
Hi,i wanted to know so i could decide whether or not to switch to a goldfosh setup or not. I assume it would be necessary to change some water up to 2 times a week to control odor from the tank and i am currently using a vendors water so ;for convienience sakes, i would want to use tap to change it so frequently and my tap is 8.5 ish. Sounds doable just worried about being able to bring it down a bit since my water hardness is around 200 it is not easy.Still can't decide !

8.5 is absolutely fine. They can do well to as high as 8.6 actually. My own pH is 8.0. Goldfish thrive a lot better in hard alkaline water.
