I have two broadtail ryukins and two standard ryukins. They're really pretty but they can also be aggressive when it comes to feeding time. If you want mellow varieties, pearlscales, orandas, bubble eyes, celestials and demekins are your best bets. Fantails tend to eat aggressively so I'd definitely stick to ryukins.

Ah, I didn't know that any varieties were too much more aggressive than others. I did read a few times that Ryukins can be more aggressive, but it was stated lightly as if it didn't really matter. So, thanks for the information.
I guess I'll stick with fantails or ryukins unless I see a Moor that I really like. I'll see if they work out together and it looks like they're significantly outcompeteing the Moor, I can always seperate them and start a Moor tank and Ryukin tank because I should have a 55 gallon and a 30 gallon, one of which I was planning on not using.
But maybe it won't come to that.
