Can you breed your zebras and Glofish? After all, Glofish were originally zebras.

The glo fish were spliced with cells from a jellyfish. That is what gives them the 'glo fish' trate.

Yes so what would determin the coler of a zebra danio breed with a lets say red glofish what color would it be?

The resulting fry will still exhibit the same color from the parent glofish assuming it has been bred with the original form though with more prominent stripes. I have not seen two different colored glofish breed together so I have no idea how the resulting fry looks.

Oh thanks Lupin I think your right maby I should breen a pair like I think at 1 point my pink and orange breed but I coulden't save the eggs.

Keep your tank heavily planted. Leave it at least a few weeks with females already ripe with eggs. May guarantee you a few fry once you remove the parents. They're very easy to breed.

I know and I have helped a friend before breed them but she breed with 6 and if I want to see then I need to breed with two and I think 1 pink glofish is ready to breed and I have a male that is ready I think. So I will post when I get them to breed.

Guys, its illegal to breed glofish intentionally, if it was, they wouldn't cost so much.

4.) Intentional breeding and/or any sale, barter, or trade, of any offspring of GloFish® fluorescent ornamental fish is strictly prohibited.
