Glofish disease?

I have no idea what is up with this glofish, every so often I walk by my tank and he's doing this crazy swimming action. I uploaded a video of it. If anyone has any idea what is causing this, if its a disease or what not let me know because I can't find anything on it. I figure it has something to do similar to a swim bladder disorder with whatever gives them orientation while swimming but it acts totally fine then goes into that psycho swimming motion.

I believe that's called flashing. And if it is, its because of some sort of parasite, internal or external. Some say it might be caused by itching of external parasite, not pain. In any case, why would you "put him down" without trying to treat him? You said he is otherwise normal. I'm sure other people hear would have some suggestion on which antiparasitic might work best for him, and what protocols to follow. At least give him a chance, and good luck!

Yah, I went and got some AQ salt yesterday, I've got him in a my 1gallon hospital. He seems more normal since putting him in there, he isn't very happy with the room he has but I've got no choice. It's one of those, if he gets better in 7-10 days, then worth it, if not I can't afford to have the rest of the tank get whatever he has.

I don't think there is any "flashing" as such, this to me is a swim bladder issue. I had a rummy nose tetra, one of my group of 18 which I've had for over a year, come down with this yesterday quite suddenly. They never recover in my experience. Sometimes I leave them, sometimes I can't bear to see it myself and destroy the fish. As far as I know there is no cure. I once had a fish that took to sitting on a plant leaf all day because it couldn't swim; it lived for several weeks, but it wasted away as it was unable to properly feed. I assume it is genetic and not something contagious, but I will readily correct this thinking if someone knows.

Byron.
