Giant Danio

hi, new here


my brother has bought 5 giant danios for our tank, they come tomorrow , but i have my reservations about them and was wondering, as ive heard their hyeractive, if they will bother the other fish in the tank or will they just play among themselves?

Without knowing the tank size, and the other fish species in the tank, it is impossible to answer directly. But, I can provide some info on the Giant Danio [scientifically the Devario aequipinnatus] to start you off.

This is a shoaling fish, meaning it must be kept in a group of at least 6. Since it attains 4 inches in length, it needs space, a 4-foot in length tank (55g) or larger. It is said to be a bully to other fish, so depending upon what they are, you may have trouble even in a larger tank.

This species will get added to our profiles, but isn't there yet.
