Good thing I am subscribed to this sub-forum.

Not enough information as usual, BlackGoldfish. Let me fill you guys in...

The tank is somewhat finishing cycling. I don't have any recient tests (they aren't my fish), so I cannot provide you with any of that information. Reguardless of my lack of tests, I know that the water is toxic, and I have been trying to get my brother to realize that plecos are not a license to endlessly feed his goldfish. At some points this week, I have mistaked the flakes for substrate (slightly exagerated, but not by much!).

Another very important detail my brother left out is that the tempreture of the tank has been above 80 most of the last few days (what Texas doesn't get in cold weather, it makes up for in 100*F+). It has been diffecult to cool the tanks, unfortunately, and the goldfish are getting it the worst.

Freckles does look bad, like my brother said. I have some pictures up, but I don't have time to upload a movie to the internet. The pictures do not show the red in Freckles' tail.

Freckles has been alot less active, and his fins are sure looking a grossly red color. I don't know what to make of it. Maybe this will help you guys help my brother, idk.

Smile small fry comes to the rescue again!!

Got vids!

I know I said I didn't have time (and I didn't), but I thought you guys deserved to know what it looked like.

I have 2 videos. The first shows how Freckles is swimming (after I accidently spooked him a tad with my camera), and the second shows the color of Freckles' injury/infection/diesase/parasite/whatever it is.

Video 1;

See how (s)he is swimming with its head below everything? Tail high?

Video 2;

This shows almost how blood red Freckles' fins are getting. It looks even worse in person, and worse yet, it is spreading to other fins.

You owe me one, BlackGoldfish!

Goldfish and pleco have been possibly subjected to ammonia and nitrites during cycling process according to what little information has been provided and are possibly showing effects from this.Add to this water temp that is unsuitable for coldwater fish such as the goldfish, and fishes health has begun to deteriorate.
No medications will work so long as the water is unsuitable. The goldfish must have water that = Zero for ammonia and nitrites all day,every day, and temp no higher than 75 degrees F.
Problem in my view is enviornmental, fix the enviornment,, and fish will have a much better chance at possible recovery .

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.

This issue is reversible. All your goldfish needs is moving to a hospital tank with temp no higher than 78 degrees. Do water changes by at least 605 three times in a day. I did the same with my two comets who suffered worse than this with water changes at 100% and they recovered within 24 hours.
