I took a pair of Comets from a friend who was dismantling his tank. It's been a few years since I've had goldfish, so I purchased some Aqueon sinking goldfish granules. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a healthy amount of food for these guys - they're each about 5" from nose to base of tail, about 2" at their deepest point, and maybe .75" thick. I just need a general suggestion. I put in a small pinch this morning and one this evening, and although it took them a while to find all the granules, it appears that they ate them all.
Also, is there anything I can do to improve their color? They're both a really pale gold - almost white. I've had really vibrant goldfish before, but perhaps this is what color these guys are supposed to be.
Thanks!
