Unfortunite update. Within 2 weeks the vast majority of the danio died due to whatever fungus they had. We only have 3 left and it looks like one male and 2 females. No success on breeding but they barely just got their adult colos all of the way. The 3 that are left are going strong. Wish us luck on breeding them.
Are you keeping them in a heated tank? If so, drop the temp to around 76 degrees F. They do better. I treat mine with PimaFix and MelaFix with no adverse reactions. Keep pH around 7.0. I also use java moss and najas to protect the young, although I have seen no evidence of canniblism by the parents. By the way wholesale prices have dropped to about $4.50.
