If I were you, I'd net a male and female danio and put them in the 12 gal tank. Get the temp up to 78 degrees and they will be more apt to breed. Keep a close eye on them. When you see them breeding, let them finish then take them out of the 12 gal tank. That way your eggs won't get eaten by anyone else, and your fry are where you were going to put them anyway! for the 12 gal, its not fully cycled, I've had it for years, but it was empty for about 2 months and has only had 3 giant danios in there for about 2 weeks to restart the cycling process.
Would they be okay in there? also, it's a waterfall filter with the filter vacuum thing (sorry can't think of what its called right now) low to the rocky substrate. should i just switch that off and put in a sponge filter?
Also, what color are the eggs so I know when they have bred?
