Botia Striata Questions

Assuming the size of the aquarium and water parameters are all adequate for these fish...

(A) What is the minimum number that you would recommend in an aquarium to reduce stress and increase activity?
(B) Is Eco-Complete gravel suitable?
(C) Will they co-exist well with smaller bottom feeders such as corydoras?
(D) Is there any other information you can offer about Botia striata, good or bad, that one should be aware of prior to a decision?

2. Never tried it but avoid substrate with rough edges.
3. Yes.
4. They're not as boisterous compared to other loaches you can find therefore they should be fine in your community setup.

Other than B, I agree totally with Lupin. They do just fine over ecocomplete, not so hot over fluorite.

I used to have 5 in my 55, and they would come out and dance every night. Rarely do they chase and never nip other fish. I had them in with pearl gouramis, and if any nipping were going to happen, the pearls would have gotten it for sure.
