I think that they were imitating the Three Stooges.

As I have never bred that species, I really couldn't tell you if that was breeding behavior or not. It sure looks like some kind of courtship though. Did you notice any eggs drop or milt spray?

No, I didn't see any eggs. I guess they're just 3 males that need a female. lol

They do that when there aren't enough of their kind in the tank. What you're seeing is a battle for dominance, not mating. Boseman's, like other rainbowfish, should be kept in groups of at least eight to have normal behavior and activity. Boseman's are quite prolific breeders; nylon spawning mops hung in their tank will soon be full of eggs. The young aren't difficult to raise.
